I. printing parameters and requirements

the fountain pen holder and pen sleeve are made of hollow cylinder stainless steel with a diameter of about 10mm, and the surface is smooth. It is necessary to make protruding landscape paintings, birds and beasts, words, poems, etc. on its outer surface. The most common fault 2: the pointer of the dial is not sensitive. The ideal method is to combine curved wire printing and electrochemical coating, and through printing, Protect the parts that do not need to make patterns with special printing materials (inks), and then electroplate to make the empty pattern parts plated with metal, and finally form a relief like pattern protruding from the surface of the pen holder and pen sleeve. printing equipment and materials:

① frame: select aluminum alloy profile frame with length of 250 ~ 300mm and width of 200 ~ 250mm

② silk: nylon, polyester or stainless steel wire can be used. The key is that the mesh number of silk should be appropriate

③ photosensitive adhesive: generally, solvent resistant Ketutai or kemailai diazo photosensitive adhesive and capillary film are selected. The thickness of the photosensitive film is controlled within 30 ~ 50um

④ exposure equipment: the spectral wavelength range of the plate printing lamp is 330 ~ 420nm

⑤ doctor blade: it is generally made of oil resistant rubber with a thickness of 8 ~ 10mm and a hardness of 65 ~ 75. Note that the blade edge of the doctor blade must be straight and processed into a chamfer of about 45 on both sides; Or polyurethane finished products with hardness of 65 ~ 75 on the market

⑥ ink requirements: it should be acid resistant, with good coverage performance and high insulation resistance

When the blade of the ink scraper is perpendicular to the axis line of the workpiece, the template moves parallel to the axis of the workpiece. Due to the pressure of the ink scraper, the friction force of the template drives the pen holder or pen sleeve to rotate in a concentric circle, The ink is printed on the workpiece under the scraping action of the ink scraper. II. Process flow and main process description

1 Process flow

degreasing treatment of stainless steel pen holder, cleaning, drying, template printing, sp2595 anti electroplating ink, drying, trimming, drying, electrolytic polishing, weak acid etching, cleaning, pre nickel, pre copper, electroplating copper (chromium, silver or gold, etc.), removing ink, drying and packaging, etc

note: the gold imitation coloring treatment is to remove sp2595 ink after copper plating on the pen holder and pen sleeve, and then treat it in the gold imitation solution

2. Description of the main process of printing

① draw black-and-white manuscript: the pattern area should be within the range limited by the circumference expansion size of the pen holder and pen cover multiplied by the magnification, that is, it should be less than the diameter of the pen holder and pen cover multiplied by the magnification selected when drawing the manuscript, place the pattern on the coated paper, and then reduce it by the same magnification to take photos and reproduce it to make the required positive negative for plate making. Simple patterns can also be drawn directly on the transparent polyester film base in the ratio of 1:1 instead of the positive negative. No matter which method is adopted, the density of the pattern part on the negative must be guaranteed in order to receive good results

② the selected silk can be stainless steel and monofilament plain woven nylon or polyester, and the mesh number is selected in the range of 100 ~ 150t/cm according to the fineness of the pattern. If it is less than 100t, the printed pattern is rough; If more than 150t is selected, the ink coverage performance of the non pattern part is poor, and the phenomenon of penetration plating will occur during electroplating, which destroys the clarity of the whole picture, and the ink will fall off in serious cases

③ photosensitive film (glue): due to the use of solvent based ink, the photosensitive material should be solvent resistant. Cotutay capillary 25 ~ 35 film or cotutay piusii photosensitive glue can be used to make templates

④ selection principle of ink: the ink must be compatible with the electroplating solution used, that is, the ink will not be dissolved, softened or peeled in the electroplating solution; The ink has good covering performance, good thixotropy or plasticity, and convenient construction; The ink should have a high resistance value to ensure that the non pattern parts are not plated with any metal, so that the pattern is clear and not deformed; The removal of ink is convenient, and the coating and workpiece are not damaged in the process of removing ink

3. The main problems in the printing process

① the scraping pressure of the doctor blade must be perpendicular to the axis line of the workpiece, and the blade edge of the doctor blade must be in parallel contact with the busbar of the workpiece, so that the doctor blade, plate and workpiece are in line contact during the whole printing process, so as to ensure that the workpiece rotates around its axis line, so that the printed pattern is clear and the position is accurate

② in the scraping process, the workpiece can only rotate around its axis, and there can be no axial movement. Therefore, the axial positioning device must be set on the surface printer, so as to ensure that the pattern position on the workpiece is accurate, and the patterns on all workpieces are consistent, and the repetition accuracy of the pattern is guaranteed

③ in order to firmly combine the ink with the workpiece, the workpiece must be degreased and other surface treatments before printing, and the treated workpiece should be placed in a dust-free place for printing. Otherwise, even a small stain on the pattern will hinder the deposition of the electroplated layer and cause defects on the pattern

④ the ink should be prepared in advance before use to make the solvent penetrate fully and evenly, with good thixotropic performance and more convenient printing

⑤ after printing, carefully check and repair the exposed bottom and remove the dirt on the electroplated parts. Electroplate only after the ink is completely dry, otherwise, unnecessary scrapping will occur

⑥ drying, sp2595 post press drying at 90 ℃ ~ 120 ℃, the time depends on the thickness

the workpiece is installed on the electroplating hanger (support spring) on the pole of the plating bath, and the electroplating is carried out according to the process specifications of various plating species. It should be noted here that the contact between the workpiece and the hanger must be reliable, and the contact between the hanger and the pole on the plating bath must be reliable. After electroplating, remove the tools to remove the ink, and conduct surface treatment, etc., to get the finished pen holder, pen sleeve or other decorative crafts
